Admissions

Stoneham Park Primary school opened in in September 2020. Each year we will admit a new Year R cohort of 45 pupils until the school grows to full capacity as our cohorts move through the school. 

Admissions for Year R September 2026

Applications for Year R places open on 1st November 2025 and close on 15th January 2026. 

Places at our school are applied for via the Hampshire County Council school admissions website. The County Council will consider first all those applications received by the published deadline of midnight on 15th January 2026. Notifications to parents offering a primary or infant school place will be sent by the County Council on 16th April 2026.

Appeals information

Admission Appeals Timetable for Year R (starting school in reception)  in September 2026 

National notification date for on-time applicants     Thursday 16th April 2026
Notification date for late applicants (whose applications received after 15 January and before 16 April 2026)  Thursday 30th April 2026 tbc
Deadline date for parents wishing to lodge an appeal (returning completed appeal papers to the County Council)  Thursday 21st May 2026 tbc
Appeal hearings to be held From 02 June to 22 July 2026, inclusive tbc
Decision letters to be sent  Within five school days of hearing

Please note

(i)  Appeals lodged after 21st May 2026 TBC will be heard during the above dates if possible. Where it is not achievable to hold an appeal between the above dates, the hearing will be scheduled within 30 school days (excluding any school holidays) of the appeal being lodged. Appeals lodged on or after 11th June 2026 TBC may not be heard until the autumn term.

(ii)  Appellants will receive at least 10 school days’ notice of the exact date and location of their appeal hearing.

(iii)  Following the lodging of an appeal, additional papers may be submitted to the Appeals Service until 10 school days before the hearing. Evidence submitted after this date will be considered by the panel but this may lead to an adjournment and significant delays.

Please note, Stoneham Park Primary Academy are a new and growing school and from September 2025 we have expanded to include Year 5.  We do not have a Year 6 cohort at this stage.  Please feel free to email us to find out if we have spaces in your desired year group, but note that applications have to be made via the link above to Hampshire Admissions.  

As at 6th December 2025, we have limited spaces in Year R, Year 2, Year 4 and Year 5.  We have a waiting list for Year 1 and Year 3. 

For In-Year applications, school will notify parents of the outcome within 10 days of the application being received from Hampshire Admissions, and not later than 15 days.

You have the right of appeal to an independent appeal panel against the refusal of a place at this school.  If you would like to appeal against the decision, please visit Appeal Information or contact the County Admissions Team on 0300 555 1377 to request an appeal pack.  This provides an option for appeal papers to be completed and submitted online or written on a paper version of the appeal forms and submitted in the post or by hand.  Please contact the school if you would like to appeal against the decision.  You will be advised what you need to do and sent the appropriate form and guidance notes.
